A large number and variety of chelation products are available at the chemist stores these days. These chelation products are consumed so as to get rid of all the different metal ions which are present inside the human body and are harmful to it. The chelation products are finding use ever since the 1st World War took place. It was used to treat the soldiers affected by poisonous gases such as lewisite. Among the various chelation products which were used to cure the soldiers, the most effective was Dimercapol. Dimercapol was the only chelation product at that time that had the cure for arsenic which is a poisonous gas.
Over the past years, numerous chelation products have been produced in a number of developed countries such as England, USSR and US. These chelation products have got no side effects. Some of the most widely used chelation products which are used to cancel out the harmful effects of numerous metal ions present in our body are Deferoxamine , Deferosamine, D-Penicillamine, CaNa2 –EDTA which is chemically Calcuiumdisodium versante, ALA which is Alphalipoic acid, DMPS which is Dimercapto-propane sulfonate, DMSA which is Dimercaptosuccinic acid and BAL. Apart from arsenic poisoning treatment, a larger number of chelation products are available which are used for treating poisoning caused by harmful metals such as iron, lead, plutonium and mercury. These products can be taken orally or can be easily injected into our body and thus can easily clean our blood.
